They did the same exact thing to me. Received nothing to "opt out" as they claimed. They were happy to let me transfer all my other debt to my Advanta Card with low promotional rates and once they got 11,000 on their card they jacked me from 7.99 to 19.99 percent. No late payments or credit change. I've been struggling for two years to make payments and I can't do it anymore. They would never help and just pushed me off to a "credit counseling" service. Pay them more money. Right! I don't know where to turn now but I'm pissed and ready to fight them to the bitter end. email me at advantasucks@4pcn.com if you have suggestions or want to start a suit with me.
