Today I went to the Petsmart on Hull Street in Richmond VA to look for a gift for my son. When I got there the store was not very busy by what I can tell but it must have been very busy to two employees. When I greeted them they tried to pretend I was not there and continued on talking to one another. I asked again if one of them could help me in making a decision in looking for a pet for my son. One of them went to the back claiming they where going to help someone else so I was stuck with the other one. She turned around and said” WHAT DO YOU WANT IT'S NOT LIKE I HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO." Me being one to give second chances I told her about my son. This is where it is better. She rolls her eyes at me and says like she was never paying any attention to me "I guess your girl would like a plant to go with he goldfish” I said girl? I’m talking about my son. When I asked her if she was paying any attention to me she goes “not really I was to busy thinking something else on my mind” At this point I am a little irritated . I ask if I my speak to the manager? When I say this her eyes widen and she nods and “says wait right here.” So I do . I wait for a good amount of time. Then I see her again sneaking to the door. I rush to her and ask did she get her manager and you know what she did? She looked at me laugh at me and said “sorry I‘m off the clock you and your kid are some bodies else’s problem now ” and with that she leaves the store . I appalled looked for the manager of the store but none could be found! I went back to the fish department and after looking there I will never shop there ever again!!! Dead fish in more then a handful of tanks I’m not talking about four or five I counted over 30 of them. I went to the hamster tank and this was the part that disgusted me the most . It looked like they have never been changed . I saw what looked liked a hamster had babies but it was get this a hamster that had killed another hamster and was feeding off its remains. I tried to take pictures of this and this is the best part , out of nowhere here comes the manager. His name is Dave something. When I complain about the girl and how I had been addressed and the state of his store he did not want to here about it and said that maybe I was not clear enough and this is how most pets stores look. After that I just left the store and went somewhere else. I was appalled by the actions of Petsmart today and I still am. I implore people do not shop at this ore any Petsmart. Its one thing for the employees to have poor customer service but the manager ? I will never shop at this or any Petsmart every again nor will any of my family or friends!!!!
